Resistance Training

Resistance training or strength training as it’s commonly referred to, is crucial to any sound exercise program.   When properly performed, strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being, including increased bone, muscle, tendon and ligament strength and toughness, improved joint function, reduced potential for injury, increased bone density and increased metabolism. There are many ways to conduct resistance training. It can be done with free weights, machines, or ones own body weight.
