Outdoor Fitness is Essential

On Sunday, December 6th, 2020, the State of California recognized that Outdoor Gyms meet the essential workforce definite on of an outdoor recreational facility for the purpose of facilitating personal health through physically distanced outdoor exercise and may continue operations.  This was such a phenomenal milestone and benchmark for gyms not only in California but across the Country.

Additionally, Governor Gavin Newsom noted in his press conference on Thursday, December 3rd  that it’s vital to stay active during these times. The Governor’s acknowledgement highlights the importance of exercise and getting outdoors for mental and physical health.

EōS Fitness has adapted its California operations to outdoor gyms (with the exception of the Downtown Los Angeles location, which still remains closed). With more than 15,000 square feet of covered outdoor fitness space filled with strength and cardio equipment, we will also host group fitness and cycle classes so EōS members can still work toward their fitness goals while remaining safe in our outdoor gyms.

“The safety and well-being of our team members, members and the communities we serve will always be our top priority,” said EōS Fitness CEO Rich Drengberg. “Even though our indoor operations in California are temporarily closed again, we’re committed to providing our members with the fitness options they deserve. We have transitioned approximately 80% of our local gym’s offerings outdoors,  and we’ll continue to enforce safety protocols, including requiring reservations 24 hours in advance of coming to the outdoor gyms, wearing a mask, and sanitizing equipment prior to and after each use, all while providing our members an opportunity to work out in the California sun in our covered outdoor workout spaces.”
